FLAMIN'GO

FLAMIN'GO is a new type of travel kit. This creation comes from my HND second year's project.
Using renewable packaging material, my challenge was to recreate travel packaging in order to make travelling easier, smarter and more responsible from a consumer’s point of view. My objectives were to choose 3 beauty and/or healthcare products that I consideredas the most important to have when travelling and pack them into one kit. My task was not to be at odds with the performance and portability of the current primary and secondary packaging. I also had to  have in mind that the conventional functions of primary and secondary packaging are important to take into consideration.
The final solution submitted had to be carried by the future customer in their travel luggage or be delivrered to the traveler's destination by an exernal party. For that, I was asked to think about technologies like RFID or QR codes due to logistical constraints.

For start, you can see bellow the logo of my travel kit

For all my graphic designs, I used Pantone 710C and black.
The logo have been made by Mathieu Leotoing.

Now, design packaging

Personalization was my main idea. I imagined that the custommer could buy the kit on the internet and choose his own products. For that I propose 3 sizes of kits. The smallest is for 3 days with 9 products. The second one is for 6 days with 18 products (as you can see on this page). And the biggest is for 9 days with 27 products.
The products I offer are in different primary packaging depending on their texture. The first single dose packaging (on the left) is for shower gel, shampoo and shaving gel. The second one in center is for moisturizing cream, styling gel and sunscreen. And the last one (on the right) is a little bit different. It's packed as wipes so the products can be : frangrance wipes, deororant wipes and cleansing wipes for example.
The single doses are made of a cardboard, HDPE and aluminium complex.
To illustrate how to use every packaging, here are some pictures of each utilizations. Every single dose are open due to the precut.
Finally, if you want see more about facing, take your smartphone or tablet, open a Datamatrix scanner and scan this code. You will see the front and back sides of the secondary packaging and the front side of the single dose.
(If you haven't this possiblities, you can see the facing on : http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/13/1395666844-finale.png)
